With an ageing society and to embrace digitalisation, AMGP embarked on Web Mobile application for barcode scanning project in September 2019. The purpose is to reduce manual work process as much as possible so that staffs can work productively and at the same time, customers can be served without mistakes. Warehouse staffs don’t have to go through pages of part numbers and quantity with their naked eyes anymore and this solution is a great relief for elderly workers who don’t have to strain their eyes. From business intelligence gathering to User Acceptance Test it took about 2 months for the solution to be prepared and finally, the system went live on 15/11/2019 2 weeks before our actual go-on-live schedule.
